We are constantly searching to find who we are and our purpose in this life. Some people base what happens in this life on what happens after this life, while others believe we just go back to the cosmos. We are in a kind of cosmic tuning.
Man – A being in search of meaning.
Plato (424–348 BC)
Whatever your beliefs, it’s important to realize we are all spiritual beings. Our body is filled with a soul or “spirit” that needs nourishment through interactions with others and a feeling of accomplishment.
It’s been said that idle time is evil time. The truth behind this can go either way. If our spirit has been tempered and trained to handle peace and quiet, we can make productive use of idle time through non destructive outlets.
The problem is the average human turns naturally to destructive actions that harm them directly or to others indirectly.
A friendly guide to follow as you search for your meaning is to understand how to live a balanced life. This will create fulfillment within your soul and allow you to feel good throughout your journey.
The balance is to seek knowledge and use your energy as equally as you can in these four areas: Spiritual (you can choose to be religious, meditate, or learn more through metaphysics), Financial (we need money to live), Educational (always be learning something new), and Recreational (as humans we seek competition and fun).
