This is a quote of deep wisdom because it brings to light the reason so many people have anxiety and stress problems. How many times have we been told that we cannot control other people? How many times have we bought a shiny object, like a new car, and then years later find it has lost its luster? To add to that loss of the “new car smell” we have trouble with it.
If you want to live a happy life, tie it to a goal, not to people or things.
Albert Einstein (1879-1955)
People are born to create. It’s really that simple. Even if we’re in our comfort zones, we still can’t escape the fact that we are born to create. It doesn’t need to be something huge or breathtaking. We all need to set little goals to be achieved. Sometimes the time-frame isn’t important as long as we’re moving forward in the mode of accomplishing.
It’s really the journey that keeps us happy, not so much the last achievement. Usually, once we’ve reached the pinnacle of our goal or endeavor, we find ourselves lost. That’s normal. We need to reset and start another goal to be achieved. That’s true happiness. Always remember this fine quote if you find yourself discouraged or filled with extra anxiety or stress. Be happy! Be achieving!
