Many times others will see our point of view if they only had the same framework to view it from. Politics is a great example of this. Most of us want the same things yet we are looking at the subjects from different points of views.
Another thing to consider would be the other persons core values. While some may have a more structured and conservative alignment, others are more spur of the moment and act on what feels right in the moment, disregarding the future outcome.
As Henry Ford said it’s so important to try to put yourself in the other persons shoes. Although in some cases it impossible to understand their total feelings, it’s still a good practice to empathize with them and try to see the subject of conversation from their angle and point of view.
